Following the congressional hearing with TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew, it’s painfully obvious how unqualified the federal government is to ban applications. 

  • Many Congress people own shares in companies that need to ban TikTok because they have been unable to successfully compete.
  • Meta, who owns Facebook and Instagram, hired a public relations firm to create urgency to ban TikTok.
  • “Experts” who were asked to weigh in have little or no working knowledge of TikTok.
