A new bill will give NASA the ability to create and fund research institutes that will support AI and machine learning related to drones.
- According to the Pentagon, giving AI-controlled drones the capability to decide on deploying weapons is already being discussed.
The news comes after a top US Air Force official claimed he ‘mis-spoke’ when he said an AI-controlled military drone went rogue and ‘KILLED’ its human operator.
