Pfizer Expects 24% of Americans Will Get New Covid Boosters

Pfizer Inc. is forecasting 24% of the US population will decide to get the newest booster; a slight increase from the previous round of boosters.

  • Only about 17% of eligible Americans took the previous bivalent booster released last fall as of May.
  • The drugmaker is launching ads to encourage people to get the vaccine, which targets the XBB.1.5 subvariant.
